Mark Ruesink, Chief Technology Officer

Mark Ruesink is the Chief Technology Officer responsible for technical innovation and product strategy. Mark is gifted with an ability to create applications from rough concepts. Prior to SchoolTown, Ruesink has successfully led multiple software startups as CTO including Compliance11, Praedea and ObjectStar. Prior to that, Ruesink had a decade of experience in technical leadership roles at enterprise software companies such as Vitria, Tibco, and Savvion. He received his M.S.

Kemi Jona, Chief Learning Officer

Dr. Kemi Jona helps guide School Town's product strategy. He is an Associate Professor of Learning Sciences and Computer Science at Northwestern University. A thought leader and frequent speaker on e-learning, virtual schools, curriculum redesign, and learning technology, he holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Northwestern University.

Henry Joseph, VP Services

Henry Joseph is Vice President of Services at School Town. With more than 20 years of expertise in the technology industry, Mr. Joseph has built and lead business and technology teams to solve complex business and regulatory objectives. Prior to School Town, Mr. Joseph was VP of Operations at Compliance11, where he was involved with the development and implementation of Compliance11 solutions. Before that, he delivered Project Management Consulting with clients such as Wachovia Securities, Bank One, Discover Financial Services (Discover Card), American Express, and Washington Mutual.

Andy Bui, Chief Development Officer

Andy leads the School Town product development organization as he guides the product architecture and design.

With over 22 years of experience in software development, Andy has been a founder and manager of three international software development companies. Andy started his career with Andersen Consulting. Andy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of Illinois of Chicago and a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from DePaul University

Frank Shapiro, Controller

Frank handles School Town's business and operational affairs including billing, payments, budgeting and contracts. Frank also supports our business partners and social media efforts. Prior to School Town, Frank co-founded the Ravinia Reading Center to help students improve critical literacy skills. There, he was responsible for business operations and customer service. Frank holds an MBA from Northwestern University.

Cathy Kedjidjian, Marketing Director

Cathy Kedjidjian is School Town’s Marketing Director. She leads brand building and communication initiatives to support customers, sales and partners. Cathy has 20 years experience as a marketing and communication consultant in education and technology. She has served in various PTO roles in elementary, middle and high schools, including PTO president.
