Introducing School Town's Internet Safety Training

March 31, 2009 – Young people of all ages are getting online as part of their daily routine. Some reports show that students spend an average of 2.4 hours a day online. Internet safety training should be a required step before a young person goes online. A variety of sites offer great information for parents about protecting kids while on the Web but the user has to find it and self study. Recently, states like IL have mandated that school districts include Internet Safety Training for multiple grade levels and schools are working to determine proper curriculum and a way to deliver it. School Town is proud to announce its “out-of-the-box” Internet Safety Training module for students, teacher and parents.

“School Town has built our solution with user safety as our top priority,” says School Town President and CEO, Mike Kritzman. “We’ve taken our dedication to safety to a new level by creating the School Town Internet Safety Expert training.”

The courses are available for elementary, middle and high school levels. They’re loaded on the powerful School Town 2.0 learning environment. Schools can easily implement our solution across a school or district. All users have their own individual login and password and no one can see or communicate with another user if they are not in a group together.

Topping off the module is a feature that provides compliance reporting at the click of a button.
